Supporting the mission of providing students with quality arts education

SMARTS, Your Community Art School is here because of the support that we have received in the past 28 years from people just like you.

We are at the moment of time where SMARTS needs your help. Signing up for our monthly giving is easy and with your help, we can continue to offer free classes to those students who need them the most. 500 new students have signed up for free classes in visual art, music, dance, theater, and creative writing in the past year, and there are currently more than 3,000 students who want to attend. Giving to us monthly will help us to continue to grow and offer more classes to the students who are on our wait lists and new students who have recently applied.

Since 1997, we have been here for all PK-12 students who want to learn in visual art, music, dance, theater and creative writing.

ALL students regardless of income can attend SMARTS and 60-70% of our families live at or below poverty level. There are no auditions or pre-qualifier for students and our classes are inclusionary—so all students can take them. We also have classes specifically for those students with special needs in hand drumming, visual art, theater, and dance. Without SMARTS, most of our students do not have any other place where they can learn in the arts, either during the school day or after school.
